All About that Bodysuit

I’ve talked about my newfound love of bodysuits on here before right? Well, in case you need a quick recap: earlier this year, I discovered the amazing-ness that is a bodysuit: a full coverage top (sometimes) that you where you don’t have to worry about your top coming untucked or ugly tucking lines. I was a little iffy about the whole thing at first, but once my main issue was addressed (TMI but many of them have snaps at the bottom so you don’t have to fully undress to go to the bathroom), I was completely on board.

The Everlane V Long-Sleeve Bodysuit

I own a whole boatloads of different styles of bodysuits (include this button up one, which is brilliant), but I’m so excited to share Everlane’s latest release of bodysuits! (And introduce it to my bodysuit collection, of course.)

The Everlane V Long-Sleeve Bodysuit is Everlane‘s first ever bodysuit with sleeves, but this is the first time they have a bodysuit that comes out in a print! Thank god they picked stripes first (you know I couldn’t resist it). It also comes out in some perfect fall/winter colors including a rust, black, and white.

I have two favorite things about this bodysuit. First, unlike their first bodysuit, they included snaps in the base of this one. Praise! Second, I like that the sleeves are just a little bit longer and go past my wrist. There’s just something so cozy about sleeves that cover your hands a little. Plus, you can see the stripes peek out of my cardigan then.

How I styled my Everlane V Long-Sleeve Bodysuit

For this first round, I decided to keep it simple and stick to my fall/winter uniform: jeans, striped top, cardigan, and ankle boots. For future posts, I’m excited to pair it with some of my suede skirts and maybe colored jeans! The combinations I can think of for this top are endless.

I would also be completely remiss if I didn’t tell you about where we shot these pictures! To shoot these pictures, Kim and I decided to visit Solid State boots, one of DC’s independent bookstores located on H St. SE. I’ve been there quite a few times since it opened last year and I absolutely love it. The layout of it is so open and welcoming and every time I’m there I find something new to look at! I also love that they have a full coffee bar set up so you can sit and get your work done during the day. Then, it turns into the wine bar!

If you’re ever in DC, make sure to stop by and visit Solid State!
