Do Something Good
Male legislation has basically sucked this week. With the abortion ban being added in more states (it should be in zero states), it’s fair to be doing a freakout. So here’s what you can do to help the women in states with abortion bans (thank you to the Cut for this list).
- Donate to smaller, more local resources like Access to Reproductive Care – Southeast, National Network of Abortion Funds, Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fun, and Women Have Options
- See if one of the organizations you can donate to needs a volunteer
- Volunteer as a clinic escort. If you’re in one of those states or near one of the states with an abortion ban, this is an amazing way to help women in need. I’ve walked by a planned parenthood when there was a TUNNEL of people standing outside to shame the patients walking in and it hurt. If you can help these people walk inside and just feel more like a regular person, do it.
- Speak out and speak loudly.
- Remember, whatever you want to do to your own body is fine, but everyone should have the right to make their own decisions about their own body.
