Abercrombie and Fitch Eyelet Dress (Same) / Old Navy Wedges (Similar)

I feel like I should start this with this disclaimer: when I was in high school, I did not like Abercrombie and Fitch. It just wasn’t my style and my mom had no desire to go in there. And since she was the one with the wallet, what Barb said goes. Though if this Abercrombie and Fitch eyelet dress had been for sale, Barb would have probably changed her mind.

So I grew up avoiding the store and it completely dropped off my radar when I went to college. It came back up again when I started interning at American Eagle, but more as the place that I was definitely not going to shop at now.

Fast forward to last fall. I was browsing through my instagram and I saw a girl wearing a really cute pullover. When I went on a hunt to figure out where it came from, I realized that it had come from Abercrombie and Fitch, of all places. I knew that they had been working on a major rebrand, but my expectations were set pretty low. That night, I lost a good 30 minutes or so that evening scrolling through their site and seeing all of the cute new pieces that they had been adding to their site. But, I was still wary, so other than that sweatshirt, I didn’t order anything.

I kept browsing through their site over the next few months, ordering a thing or two. But when I saw this Abercrombie and Fitch eyelet dress in the spring/summer collection, I knew I was officially hooked. I honestly still don’t believe that it’s from Abercrombie and Fitch. The straps are adjustable and the back is made of a stretchy material, so it can have a little give if you happen to eat a big lunch. The skirt is also lined, which is something that feels rare nowadays in the world of fast fashion. The best part, IT HAS POCKETS! I almost debated buying this dress in it’s two other colors just because of the pockets.

This dress was the push I needed to start loving Abercrombie and Fitch. I still can’t believe I just typed that. It’s already been added it into my rotation of sites to look at. If you haven’t given it a second chance, I would definitely encourage you to try it as well. If you’re worried about the prices, they’ve done a good job of adjusting the price points as well. They may look high at first glance, but Abercrombie does the ridiculous markdowns all of the time. If you like an item, just wait a few days and the price will go down. I waited and got this dress for $25 (I believe the full price is $66). If that’s not a good reason to check it out, I don’t know what is!

Here are some of the pieces I’ve really liked from Abercrombie and Fitch lately!
