Currently, Vol. 22

New year, same me! Sorry, did you think you were getting a new Dana? Sorry to disappoint! But we do have a brand new Currently post of 2018!

Currently, Vol. 22 | Something Good, @danaerinw , hq trivia

starting

No real resolutions. Sorry, I’m not really a resolution person. But I love goals and challenges! So in the spirit of that, I started the Pure Barre 40 in 60 Challenge on January 1st. (40 classes in 60 days.) It’s a lot of classes, but I’ve done it before, so I know I can do it again.

hoping

I can keep my clothing budget under control this month and sell off a few clothes. Keeping my fingers crossed and pushing my Poshmark hard.

scheduling

Too many things. I’ve in two online courses right now, both with check in call and online modules, so I’m trying to stay on top of those, in addition to everything else! It’s a bit crazy, but I love the courses so far, so I’ll just have to make it work!

reading

I’m already re-listening to You Are a Badass at Making Money. I’ve also FINALLY gotten my hands on a copy of Turtles all the Way Down, so I’m finally starting that too.

playing

I started playing hq trivia (insert eyeroll here). One of my friends sent me an invite a few days ago and now I’ve started playing it almost every day. I’m not great at it (trivia isn’t my strong suit), but it’s been pretty entertaining to play. I’ve also been playing Lucktastic on my phone, which is basically just scratch cards. But hey, I don’t have to pay for them, so no harm, right?

That’s all for me. What about you? Do you have any interesting goals or challenges? Have you started reading any good books?

As always, linking up with Anne In Residence.

  1. I’m the same way (no surprise, since sometimes I think we are twins – ha!) about not really doing resolutions per se, but loving lists/challenges. So in the past I’ve done something like a “15 things in 2015” list – much more my kind of thing.

And I’ve had a copy of the new John Green on my shelf for a while, but since I had just read a couple of YAs when it arrived, I wanted to save it for a while. If I read too many grouped together I start to not like them quite as much as I otherwise would… but I’m looking forward to it later this month!

    • I can’t wait to see what you think of Turtles!

Also, haha I’m not surprised we’re the same way about resolutions either. I can’t wait to check out what you do for this year!

  2. My son and husband play HQ, but it’s been frustrating lately because of the bandwidth problems. They end up missing questions because it freezes up.

    Happy New Year, Dana!

    • Ughh, that’s the worst. I keep missing the notification that it’s starting! I also try to not play it if I’m not on wifi though.

  3. Turtles All The Way Down is definitely on my reading list for this year! I have heard so much about it! I will need to check into that trivia game, my sister in law loves trivia, maybe she and I will play it together!

    • I really like Turtles so far, I think I’m going to need to do a post on it! And if you want to join hq, feel free to use my code “danaerinw” to join!

I need to read Turtles All the Way Down. I’ve had it for months now. haha It’ll happen this year! I just finished The Princess Saves Herself In This One today; it’s a book of poetry but not what people think of poetry – so so good. I want to read You Are a Badass and then the one on money. I hear good things.

    • I’m about half way through Turtles and I absolutely love it. I also need to read The Princess to my list now, that sounds so interesting!
