Currently, Vol. 21

Taking a mini break from holiday posts to share with you what’s been going on lately.

Currently, Vol. 21 | Something Good, @danaerinw, oil diffuser

lighting

My apartment with all of the candles. I can’t help it, I’m such a sucker for good smelling candles. I’m also sort of getting into oils and I’m thinking about ordering a oil diffuser to try out soon. If you have an recommendations for one, I would love it!

spending

All of my money? No money? I don’t know anymore. After my November budget, I’m trying to take it a little easier this month. Or if I’m going to spend, at least spend more on experiences.

choosing

Which booth I’m going to go to first at Metro Cooking DC this weekend! It’s going to be a full weekend of eating for me and I’m so excited. If you still haven’t gotten your ticket, it’s not too late. General admission tickets are only $21.50, plus, in honor of Chef Jose Andres and his efforts to provide hurricane relief to Puerto Rico, a portion of ticket sales will go to Andres’ World Central Kitchen. Use code PUERTORICO when you purchase your tickets online to have a portion of your tickets go towards the donation.

sending

All of my returns back. Haha, I told you I’m retail therapy-ing and return therapy-ing. Returning everything may even feel better than the shopping did in the first place.

singing

A little too much Taylor Swift? #NoShame. Yes, I am also thinking about getting tickets to her tour. There are also a few other concerts coming to DC that I’m thinking about getting tickets to next year. Which is kind of weird because I’m not normally a concert person. I blame spotify for sending me concert alerts. Hopefully they’ll all be concerts where my old lady self can sit down.

  1. My teenage daughter has listened to nothing else since getting her CD a few weeks ago. We are trying to get tix to her concert, too!

Oh wow, the cooking event sounds like such fun! I hope you have a blast. I’m trying REALLY hard to not overdo it on the food this month, but I know some days are going to be tougher than others.

    • The cooking event was a lot of fun! I’ve definitely overdone it on the food, but I’m just embracing it at this point and just making sure to work out.

  3. Ahhh so jealous – I love Chef Andres. Yum. And yes, many visits of the UPS man here, and visits of me to the post office. I love stores with free returns 🙂

  4. Love me some Taylor Swift!! I have seen her in concert once and it pretty much made my life.

    • I saw her 1989 tour and it was so much fun! I don’t know if I’m going to go to this one though. It’s at the concert venue in DC that’s terrible to get to if you don’t have a car (which I don’t) and the tickets are super expensive for the nosebleed section. It’s a shame since the prices weren’t that bad last time.

  5. I actually really enjoy returning things. I hate having items around that I don’t truly love and I know it can be a pain (which is why many don’t do it) but I get a lot of satisfaction from it! Thanks for linking up!
