Do Something Good

This video is a few weeks old, but if you haven’t seen it, then you need to. Rachel Bloom decided to take on workplace inequality with her latest video “Ladyboss.” If you haven’t heard of Rachel Bloom before, she’s the star and creator of the show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I personally love the show, but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. This video however touches on some really important points and is something that we can all get behind

  1. Oooh I love high-neck stuff, so I’m all aboard with that tank… maybe pair it with the shorts! And I always want more commentary on the books 🙂 What did you think of Wicked City? I must say, it made me think I’m pretty over Beatriz Williams books for the time being. Do love me some Barbara Kingsolver though!

    • Wait, really?!? I’m only 30% of the way into it! I’ll let you know what I think of Wicked City when I finish it.

I really need to figure out how to do more book commentary on here. I always feel like I’m just writing out plot synopsis which A. I’m terrible at and B. I hate doing. Any suggestions?

    • Update! Did not like Wicked City. I do have one more of her books from the library though, so I’m going to give that one a chance. I still can’t write her completely off!

  2. I was going to ask the same as Anne – what do you think of Wicked City? I skipped it because the description didn’t grab me (and her feelings aren’t making me want to pick it up either). One of my favorite ways to review a book is: Things I liked (characters, plot, settings, twists, etc). Things I didn’t (same stuff). Would I recommend it, why, and to whom? Maybe that’ll help without doing the plot synposis?

Just did an old navy order for some shorts… I always choose black and then wonder why they don’t survive more than one summer. *sigh*

    • Alright, now that I’m done with it, I didn’t like it. I think she tried to just fit too much into it and it just felt all jumbled up.

Thanks for your suggestions for book posts! I’ve been doing that a little bit with my instagram book posts, but I really should just do that for my blog posts too. Now I need to just sit down and start writing them.
