TV Without the TV

Note: Today’s post is sponsored by NBC, but as always my opinions and my love for TV is all my own! Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good.

This year I’m trying to fully embrace the Norwegian mindset when it comes to winter. That is, instead of being unhappy about the snow and the cold, I’m going to instead focus on all of the things I love about winter. The snow, the cozy sweaters, ice skating, and most of all? Curling up on my couch to watch my favorite shows

It’s silly I know, but one of my favorite ways to relax is to unwind with my favorite shows. Plus, I have the best opportunity to catch up this year. My office is closed this year from Christmas to New Years and I’m using it to plan my own staycation. While part of that staycation will be spent at Pure Barre (because why not), the rest of it will be spent in my apartment catching up on shows.
For this staycation though, the question isn’t what I’m going to watch (I have a running list), but where I’m going to watch it!. And I know now you’re reading this and you’re incredibly confused. Wouldn’t you just watch on your TV, Dana? Well, no, I wouldn’t just watch on my tv. There’s also the option of my laptop in bed or in my kitchen while I indulge in baking things. What’s made this easier is that so many networks have recognized that we all love watching TV without the TV and they’ve made it easier for us to do that! NBC is definitely a network leading this with NBC TVE (TV Everywhere). NBC TVE lets you watch the latest full episodes of NBC shows the day after they air and live stream your local station (trust me, as an avid TV without TV watcher, these are both major bonuses). You can easily log in and and start watching TV now!
I’m going to be using NBC TVE to start watching The Blacklist this winter (it’s been on my list forever) and I’m excited to see what other shows I get into.
