One of my rules for buying clothes is that they need to be versatile.

I want to be able to really get use out of my clothing, so the majority of my pieces work multiple ways. I can wear them during the week to work and then I can switch it up for the weekends.

Since I always preach this, I figured it was time to do another two ways post and show you how I really get use out of a piece. Also, show you how I can wear this white button up two ways.

But I decided to switch it up.

Instead of doing daytime work to day time weekend, I’m doing weekend work (because that’s what happens when you run a blog) to weekend dinner (or going out if that’s your thing).

My first way for styling a white button up two ways is how I can usually be found.

My most comfortable jeans, a simple top, and comfy flats. Also, a huge bag to carry everything I need for the day. While I would typically pick a simple tee, I like how this button up looks a little more polished. It’s actually super soft and fairly unstructured.

My second look is a little nicer.

I subbed out the flats for a pair of wedges. The giant bag was left behind in favor of the leopard clutch (which knowing me was probably in the giant bag). If I had the foresight, I would have probably also knotted/tied this shirt in the front instead of doing a front tuck. I think it would make the whole look just a little cuter and ready to go out.

The nice thing about these looks is how simple it is to go in between the two. There were really only a few changes that needed to be made to switch looks and get a completely different vibe.

I think that I’m going to start working on incorporating these posts into the blog more.

I tried to last year  and I really enjoyed them, but they fell to the wayside in my move over to wordpress (EDIT: I just looked at this post and realized it was from 2015….so I really need to get my ish together). Then the holidays hit and well, you know how everything can seem to disappear once the holiday season hits for a blogger. But I really love them and I think that they can be so helpful in seeing how you can get more use out of your own wardrobe.

So what do you think? Do you like these sort of posts? Would you want to see more of them?

Since one of my rules for buying clothes is that they need to be versatile, I thought it was time to share more posts about that.
