It’s February and already time for another Currently Link Up!

Currently, Vol. 11 | Something Good

packing
For a quick trip to NYC! I’m not doing much traveling this month, but I am taking a quick trip up to NYC. My friend and I have tickets to go see Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812. We were suppose to go see it last month, but the inauguration and a work trip kind of killed our ability to get there to see it. I’m really excited because a friend from my childhood is in the show, along with some alumni from my undergrad. I’ve heard some great things, so I’ll report back and let you know how it is!

jonesing
For some snow! Seriously. DC winter has been failing me so far this year. We’ve gotten a little sprinkling here and there, but nothing has stuck! I’m hoping for some snow to stick this month, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

texting
My mom. Because let’s be honest, that’s who I’m always texting. She’s making her next knitting project a sweater for me! I really wanted a sweater (like above), but I couldn’t find one I liked enough. Lucky for me, my mom offered to make one for me!

wearing
All of the layers. In an attempt to keep my sweaters a little longer, I’ve started trying to wear a layer under all of my sweaters. My two favorite layering pieces are a short sleeve shirt from Everlane and this long sleeve top from cuddl duds.

hearting
My meals from Hello Fresh! My friend gave me a free box of meals and I thought I’d try it out. I was really impressed with how simple everything was and how well the directions were laid out. I don’t think its financially possible for me to use Hello Fresh all of the time, but it’s definitely fun for every once in a while. If you want to try it out, here’s $40 off of your first box! Since each Hello Fresh box contains 3 meals for two people for $60, getting to try it once for $20 is a great deal!

As always, linking up with Anne for the Currently Link Up!

  1. Come to Michigan! Snow sticking all over the place here. Though we haven’t gotten as much snow as normal either – tons of rain in the past few weeks that would have been piles and piles of snow if it had been normal winter temperatures. And I’ve been so intrigued by these boxed meals. It’s mostly the coming up with what the heck to cook for dinner issue…

    • I would love to! it’ll probably just rain as soon as I get there though.

You should give Hello Fresh a try. It was really fun and so simple. I can’t justify doing it all of the time because of the cost, but I really liked just having everything pre-measured right there.

  2. I’ve never tried Hello Fresh but it sounds awesome! 🙂 I’m with you on the snow – if it’s going to be Winter, it may as well be snowing!

  3. Gosh, I have really been wanting some snow too!

I’m so curious about the meal subscription boxes. They aren’t really good for all the time – money wise- but maybe I’ll try it out in the future sometime. Have fun in NYC! That’s awesome a childhood friend is in the play.

    • I understand! I don’t think I could justify doing it all of the time because of the cost, but it was definitely fun to try out! I think it’s a good every once in a while thing though.
