Not to toot my own, but I’m going to toot my own horn, because damn my hair looks good in these pictures. How do I get hair like this all of the time? If anyone has some advice, please let me know asap. Anyways, I did a big Old Navy order a few weeks ago to try out some of their new pieces, so of course an Old Navy Review was going to come your way! Also, I threw in a few of the pieces I picked up at the Shopbop sale, because why not?

Old Navy Heavy-Knit Shift Dress, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Heavy-Knit Shift Dress, XS (That’s out of stock, but here’s the new version!)

Is there anything better than a great black dress? I’d say no. This one fits the bill perfectly. It fit true to size and the material will be thick enough to keep me warm.

Verdict: Keep

Old Navy Chambray Shirt Dress, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Chambray Shirt Dress (Left: XSP, Right: XS)  (That’s out of stock, but here’s the new version!)

Battle of the petite sizing! I decided to try out petite and regular sizing for some of my dresses today to figure out what I preferred. For this chambray dress, I ultimately went with the regular sizing. The petite dress fit well, but it was a little shorter than I wanted it to be. The regular sizing had a more relaxed shoulders and a longer hem line, both of which, I preferred.

Verdict: Keeping the regular size.

Old Navy Cowl Neck Sweater Knit Cocoon Dress, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Cowl Neck Sweater Knit Cocoon Dress (Left: XSP, Right: XS) (That’s out of stock, but here’s a  version and here’s a second!)

Hello tight dress. Yeah, this petite sizing was a full size (or two) smaller. I actually decided to return both. While the regular fit better, I would have preferred a sweater dress that was a little looser.

Verdict: Return

Old Navy Pleated Tie-Neck Swing Dress, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Pleated Tie-Neck Swing Dress (Left XSP, Right XS)   (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

This dress isn’t normally my style at all. But, I kind of liked the berry one! The “swing” part of it hit me right at the largest part of my hips though. So as comfortable as the dress was, it had to go back.

Verdict: Return both

Old Navy Stitchy Cowl-Neck Pullover, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Stitchy Cowl-Neck Pullover, XS  (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

The pro’s of this top? So comfortable. It fit well, but it wasn’t fitted. The cons: this color couldn’t decide if it was purple or brown or slate.

Verdict: Return

Old Navy Hi-Lo Dolman-Sleeve Pullover, ,Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Hi-Lo Dolman-Sleeve PulloverXS (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

I finally found the green top I was looking for! This pullover is a slightly heavier knit, so it could pass as a long sleeve shirt or a light sweater depending on your mood. The fit was true to size and I loved the little touch o the hi-lo hem.

Verdict: Keep

Old Navy Relaxed Scoop-Back Top, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Relaxed Scoop-Back Top, XS (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

if you’re following on snapchat, you probably saw my amusement with the sleeves of this top. It’s very “flowy” aka there’s a ton of extra material between the arms and the torso. The fit was pretty spot on, but it just did nothing for me.

Verdict: Return

Old Navy Relaxed Peplum-Hem Top, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Relaxed Peplum-Hem Top, XS (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

Have I mentioned how much I love relaxed peplums? This shirt was a winner for me. I kept the oatmeal and black, but decided to return the berry (I just wasn’t in love with it). This top is so comfortable that I ended up wearing it just to hang out around my house the same afternoon.

Verdict: Keep!

Old Navy Open-Front Drapey Poncho, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Open-Front Drapey Poncho(XS/S) (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

Remember my fellow petite friends: one size does not fit all. So sadly, this comfortable sweater had to be returned.

Verdict: Return

Old Navy Tall Side-Buckle Riding Boots, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Tall Side-Buckle Riding Boots, Size 6 (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

Old Navy is making a comeback with their shoes! I almost kept these, but my calves were just a little too wide. I have slightly larger calves, so if you don’t have that issue these should fit perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was how large the ankles were. It cause the boots to get a little slouchy in that area. I’m also a little concerned that if I had smaller calves, the boots would start to slouch down.

Verdict: Return

Old Navy Pointy Smoking Flats, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Pointy Smoking Flats, 6 (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

I told you their shoes were getting better! These smoking flats were so cute and comfortable that I immediately ordered the black also. A note though, Old Navy only has whole sizes, so if you tend to be a half size, consider going up.

Verdict: Keep

Old Navy Oversized Flannel Scarf, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Old Navy Oversized Flannel Scarf  (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

It’s finally blanket scarf season! If you’ve been waiting to get in on this trend, it’s time to give in and order one from Old Navy. This one is on par with my Zara scarf of two years ago, so I definitely recommend it.

Verdict: Keep

Clu Too Ruffled Top, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

Left: Clu Too Ruffled Top,  XS

Time for Shopbop Reviews! I was so excited for this first top, but it was a little too long. Had this been a regular top, that would have been fine. The ruffles however were much lower than I wanted them to be.

Verdict: Return

Right: Clu Too Ruffled Striped Top, XS

I wasn’t planning on keeping this top because it was slightly pricier. Once I tried it on though, I was in love. Chambray plus stripes? Love. Also, the ruffles hit at a much better place.

Verdict: Keep

WAYF Short Sleeve Dress, Shopping Reviews Vol. 36 | Something Good

WAYF Short Sleeve Dress, S (That’s out of stock, but here’s a similar version!)

I’m so disappointed about this dress. It fit almost perfectly except for the waist. In the waist it became much tighter and the seam there folded over. The material was also thinner than I expected.  Sadly, it just wasn’t going to work.

Verdict: Return

Do you have any knee boots you really love that fit well? I have a hard time finding ones that fit also

  2. Okay I think I’m going to be making a little Old Navy pit stop today… love the peplum tees, and the black dress is great – I don’t have a black dress for the colder months and could definitely use one! And I totally would have kept that striped/chambray ruffle top too. Super cute.
