Did you know that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? As someone who supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, that means that this can be a busy month. While there are a handful of events going on in the DC area this month for the St. Jude, the one I’m most excited about is the St. Jude Walk/Run next Saturday (September 24th). I’ll be volunteering and fundraising for the walk that day and I have a feeling its going to be a lot of fun (it always is). I love getting to hear the patients families’ talk and see all the people coming out to support such an amazing cause.

If you want to get involved, there’s a pretty good chance that there’s a walk going on in your city next weekend. Visit the St. Jude Walk/Run page to find a walk and sign up! Or if you’re unable to join in the fun, but still want to be involved, I’d love if you would donate to my participant page (or you can start your own as a “fundraiser, not walker”)!
