The Banana Republic Button Up

If you’re following on instagram or snapchat (username danaerinw), then you might have seen that my shoe collection got a major clean out this weekend.

Instead of just sorting inside my closet, I decided to take a new approach. I pulled all of my shoes out of my closet and collected them from around my apartment. I lined up the whole collection and, well, got really overwhelmed.

I honestly didn’t realize how many pairs I had and how many pairs I didn’t need. I’m really bad about getting rid of shoes (unless they’re actually ruined), so my collection tends to grow quickly.

But putting them all out made it easy to start comparing and picking out what I was getting rid of. I was able to pull out plenty of shoes for poshmark and another group to donate.

After I moved all of the keepers back into my closet, I honestly can’t tell you how relieved I felt. I no longer felt like I was surrounded by pairs that I felt like I had to wear at some point or pairs with so so memories. I actually feel more inspired and kind of excited to clean out other parts of my closet now!
