Sunday Book Club: Favorite Cookbooks

Did you know….that reading cookbooks totally count as reading books?
Sunday Book Club: Favorite Cookbooks | Something Good, stir, milk bar life, christina tosi, milk bar, seriously delish, how sweet it is, chocolate covered katie
Or at least, when it’s written by these authors they do! A lot of my favorite recipes over the years have come from either my mom or cooking blogs. But, lately a lot of my favorite food bloggers have been putting out cookbooks and I could not be happier.
Today I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you and get you excited for my next favorite to come out from Minimalist Baker!
Milk Bar Life
Okay, it’s not from a blogger, but I have a crush on girlboss and author Christina Tosi. These recipes cover everything from simple recipes for when you’re just too tired to fun and more complicated recipes when you have the entire freakin’ weekend. Also, if you love Milk Bar cookies, you can now make them yourself!
Seriously Delish
Have you read How Sweet It Is? If you haven’t, you’re missing out. Jessica is hilarious and she totally supports your right to junk up every dish you make. You’ll find delicious cocktails, amazing desserts, and basically every way you can dress up your pizza.
Stir
I actually reviewed this book last year! Part cookbook, part memoir, this cookbook tells the amazing story of how Jessica survived a brain aneurysm burst. You’ll love her writing about this terrifying experience and then salivate a little (okay, maybe a lot) over her recipes.
Two words: Healthy. Desserts. Two more words: I’m serious. As someone with a very strong sweet tooth, I know I can’t indulge all of the time. With Katie’s book, I don’t have to! Try out some of her recipes and you’ll have no idea that you’re secretly eating healthy food. (PS My favorite are the cookie dough bars!)
