OHSS, Part 4: Spend Your Money!

I know you’ve been waiting for the final installment of OHSS and here it is!
Part 4: Spend Your Money!
By this point, you have a cart of items you’re ready to buy and you’re armed with promotions. So are you ready to buy? Almost.
Before you even think about hitting that check out button,
check the Shipping and Return Policies.

To me, this is one of the most important parts of online shopping. I try to avoid paying for shipping as much as possible, so make sure to see what the retailer’s minimum is for free shipping or if their current promotion offers free shipping.

Return Policies: One of the reasons I hear people use to object to online shopping is “What if the clothes don’t fit?” My response? “Return it.” But if that may be a possibility, check the return policy. Some organizations will allow you to have free returns, some let you return in stores, others make you pay for return shipping, others don’t allow returns, etc. It varies from store to store and purchase to purchase, but it’s important and can save you a lot of future hassle.
Final notes/Extra Credit:
Price adjustments

If you buy something at full price one day (tsk tsk, go back and read this post) and two days (or even a week) later, there’s a promotion that applies to the product, call and ask for a price adjustment! I’ve saved a good amount of money from this when I jumped the gun on buying products because I didn’t wait for a promotion.

Can’t Choose, Don’t Choose…Yet.
It’s okay to buy two similar products/sizes because you aren’t sure. Just make sure you remember that one of them will have to be returned and then be prompt about returning it! Or, if they have a brick and mortar store, go try it on there first!
Now you’re ready! Go out and online shop!
